Rosettes

I'm still working on my altered box but today I learned how to make these cute little rosettes. Yesterday I learned how to make some paper flowers they remind me of a carnation. You have probably all been making them for years, however I just started paper crafting. So this is all pretty new to me, if you have any thing cool that you think I'd love to make out of paper send me a comment I'd love to learn as much as I possibly can. Happy Crafting..

First Altered Wood Box

I'm kind of excited I started my very first ever altered wood box today. I painted it so it's drying right now. It's going to be yellow and black. I made three grunge roses for on the top of it and I have black rhinestone bling to go on it. I hope it turns out good, I will post some pictures when it's done. I tend to like simple designs when it comes to my cards and things. So I'm sure this will just be a simple box, we'll see. Happy Crafting..

New Life

We didn't start this year out very good. Steve lost his job, we had to stay with friends. Then it looked like things were looking up. Steve got another job and we found a very nice one bedroom apartment in Nevada where we lived. He was stabbed in the back by the new girl at work who wanted the nice two bedroom apartment onsite that we were suppose to get. So he was fired because she set him up! Well because of everything that happened we decided to sell everything we owned and move to Michigan. Yes, it broke my heart to sell my craft supplies but I did keep my card making supplies. We made it here ok, not one problem coming all the way from Las Vegas. We now live in Millington Michigan. We are staying with a very good friend of mine and her family. Thank god for friends, with out her I'm not sure where we'd be right now. Steve is looking for work, hopefully he will get something soon so we can start out new life here. We came to Michigan because it's where my two sons, Brad 25 and Jay 23 live. Also I am a grandma so our two grand daughters are also here, Aliana is 3 yrs old and Hannah is 2 yrs old.I will put some pictures in here, so everyone can see them. Let me tell ya what they really love their grandpa Steve. I know once Steve gets a job we will be on our way to a very happy rest of our lives together.

Glimmer Mist

I got some small spray bottles and made my own glimmer mist. I love it. I used metallic paint, glue and water. It works great. I just wish I could find the plain white flowers here. There are no Michael's close, so if anyone knows where there is a good place to buy them online let me know. I think it was Creations by Christie that was making grunge roses. Loved them but I'm pretty new to paper crafting so it's going to take some practice. I've been making cards for a few years but just started on grunge roses or other paper crafts. I made my first explosion boxes the other day and they turned out great, as you can see from the pictures below. Wish me luck....Happy Crafting

Lately I've been watchng so many Youtube videos of other crafters craft rooms and craft tutorials. LOVE it, there are so many talented people out there. I'm totally hooked on Creations By Christie and her Craft room is for sure my dream craft room. She is very talented and she totally has me wanting to make some mini albums. I'm pretty new to paper crafting but I Love paper. I've been making cards for a few years but I can't wait to branch out and make other things. With all the talented crafters on Youtube I'm sure I'll learn a lot of new things fast. I made my own glimmer mist and it works so great for all my flowers, love it. I also made some explosion boxes yesterday they came out great. Went to JoAnn's and found The Black Currant stack, it's beautiful I love it. I don't know all the new papers and stuff yet, I mostly just buy what I love. Ok gotta go..Happy Crafting
