Happy Birthday Mom...

My beautiful mom was born December 26th 1935 and passed away January, 19th 1996. She is missed terribly and still loved just as much as the day she was still with us. She was a beautiful woman in more ways then one. She was very crafty, she was the crochet queen, she would crochet a entire king sized bed cover out of crochet floss in no time. She tried to teach me once, but after pulling her hair out she gave up lol. If she could see how crafty I've become she would be proud. She had a good heart and it belonged to my daddy.


They were married March 12, 1955. They were completely in love and loved each other until the day they died.


They had six kids,  I am the baby. Five girls and one boy, poor dad lol.  My dad passed away March 23rd 1997 of a broken heart, he missed my mom so much he just wanted to be with her again.


She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to all who knew her. She is loved and she is missed...Happy Birthday mom I love you...

Rocking Horse

I altered this Rocking horse with K & Company  Que Sera Sera paper. I also used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, recollections bling, organza ribbon, and bling. I love the way it turned out. I also painted the horse white to start and liquid gold on the base. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Altered Mantle Clock

I got this old small mantle clock to alter. Couldn't really figure out what to do with it but I know I love stick pins and when friends send them I have no place to put them. So I made my little clock into a pin cushion. I have to work on getting the pin cushion a little rounder lol. But I do like the way it turned out. I did a crackle effect on it. I used Wild Orchid Craft Roses small and large. The spray is handmade by me. Recollection bling and a old cameo.





So now I have a place to put all my stick pins. I didn't glue in the pin cushion so that if I ever want to change it to a picture frame I can. Hope you like it..

Christmas Tags

So today is my birthday and I spent the day crafting of course. I made some Christmas tags for a swap that craftergm (Gloria) is hosting. The paper rosettes are handmade also. With My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter paper stack. Hope you like them.

Tattered Time wall hanging

I had scrap pieces of tattered time paper left from some cards I made. I painted the hearts in real red craft paint, then cut my scraps of paper to fit inside the hearts. I used a butterfly I've had for years and a flower I made. Center of the flower is a piece of jewelry that use to be a earring. Then I used some white ribbon to tie it all together. And a few tiny pieces of bling.









I had fun making this love painting and right now I'm working on a welcome sign for our entry way to the office. I will post pics when I'm done.

Looking up.

Things are looking up. I just won two giveaways on youtube and I'm so happy I actually cried when I found out. I guess what they say is right, what comes around goes around. This year wasn't the best for Steve and I, hard times in Las Vegas after I had to stop working and Steve lost his job wasn't fun. We stayed in a monthly weekly rental for a month or two then with a friend. We thought things where looking up then they went right in the whole again.  A few months ago we sold what we could and what didn't get sold (which was a apartment full of things) we gave to a needy family. The family was from Florida, they moved to Vegas for a better life and it back fired on them. They had nothing, so we gave them everything we had to help them out. We packed up our two door Saturn and moved to Michigan. My sons and grand babies live here so it's a good move. When we got here we spent a month staying with a awesome friend of ours..love you Tami thanks for everything. Now things are looking much better. Steve got a job, it came with a apartment, so we are living on our own again which is awesome. So anyway things are looking up.

Altered Candle holder

A friend of mine wanted me to alter her candle holder, so of course I said sure. This is what it looked like before.



And this is what it looks like now except I changed the white bow to a multi colored ribbon after I took the picture, but it looked much better then the white.



Well that is it and she loved it you cant really see but on the heart and around the back side of the green bottom there are small black flowers, that are so pretty. She gave me a big box full of old jewelry that has tons of bling pieces in it for minis and to use in projects.






That's it...I can't wait to see what exactly is in here...

Halloween cards

The past few days I made all my Halloween cards to sent out to my family and friends. I also made a holder for my tall markers, out of a empty Pirouline can. Of course I had to eat them all to use the empty container lol.. I had to make over 30 cards so I did a simple but cute card I hope you all like them.

And this of course is the long marker holder I made, I'm thinking if I ever get some roses
