Sunday 8/28/11

We went to see our grand daughters today and visited with my son and his girlfriend. We stopped by some yard sales today and I found some great stuff to alter.

My Grand daughters Aliana and Hannah sitting by grandpa on the steps..

Hannah is 2 yrs old..

Aliana is 3 yrs old and wanted to come home with us so bad..


I bought 5 of these cute rocking horses for $2 wow can you believe it, I can't
wait to alter them.





This little box with slidding doors i got for free, I'm going to alter it and
put ribbon on it to tie it shut.

I got this heart wall hanger for .50 cents, I'm going to alter it and use
ribbon to put it back together instead of twine.

This little metal basket i'm going to alter and put my markers in it.


I also got this bundle of lace, going to make some flowers.

I'm Back...

After being offline for over a week I'm finually back YAH!! I really missed being able to come online and talk to my friends and family. Well we moved into our new place last week, I got all my painting done. Painted our new apartment Ocean Foam Green with a silky white trim. Painted the entryway white with Ocean Foam trim. I took a few pictures but not much yet. Will look so much better when we get some furnature to put in here, right now all we have is a couple little shelves, desk and bed. I also had a lot of time on my hands to craft, so this is what I made this week.


This is a little box I made for myself. Love butterflies


Pencil holder I made for a friend.



My friend gave Steve a old black box full of pens, pencils and markers for his office. She called it her magic box although I seen nothing magic about it, it wasn't in the best shape so I fixed it up for her. Covered it in Tattered Time paper and added a few black flat back crystals, it's shocking what a little patting, fabric and paper can do,  now its magical. She loved it, and her pencil holder.



My little corner of creativity. This is where I now craft, by the back door there is a cozy little area it's about 5x7 and it's all mine. In a studio apartment that is huge to have a corner to yourself.


This is the bathroom which someday will be blue, closet, and my back door. On the wall behind my chair will someday be a shelf for all my rubber stamps, until then they are in plastic 12x12 cases. There is also wall space on the other side of my desk which will also have shelves and a table for my laptop. When I get it all done I will put some more pictures in here...

1st Mini album

I made a simple mini album to go into my altered box, In it I will put pictures of the things I love, my sons, grand daughters, Steven and friends. I love all things that inspire me and make me happy. Just being inspired makes me happy.















I had so much fun making this, I can not wait to make some more altered boxes and simple albums to sell online.

Altered Box

Ok so this is my first altered box and not sure I really like it. I used alittle crackle and alittle smudging of paint, trying to get the effect I wanted. It is ok for my very first and its one that I'm keeping so. I don't think it looks good enough to sell lol...but it's good enough for me.





Anyways that is my box...

Yard Sale Find..

I have to say I do love yard sales and love them even more when you find something cool that you can alter to make your own. I found this cute wood basket at my friends yard sale and I can't wait to figure out what I'm going to do with it, if anything. Except for the flowers I love the way it looks now.

Fun Fun..

Today I cleaned my little crafty corner that I call my craft space at the time lol. It looks much better. Then I made a couple things. They say if you store your Glossy Accents upside down it doesn't clog as bad, so I took a rount plastic empty tooth pick holder and decorated it to make it my glossy accent holder. I used paper from Black currant stack and a butterfly that came with my HELLO stamp. Stamped the butterfly (Love butterflies btw) cut it out, glittered it with some Martha Stewart amethyst and turquoise.  Then I put paper around the plastic holder and put the butterfly on it to dress it up alittle and I love it.






So that is it and I love it. The glossy accents fits just perfectly. I also made a flower.
