Decorations for my Craft Space..

Did you ever want to do a project but kept putting it off because you knew how much work it would be. Well that is what I did, I knew what I wanted to make for my craft area walls but I also knew it would be a lot of work. I finally desided to do it, I wanted to make some huge rosettes for my wall so I did...


They were so fun to make but a lot of work never the less..

This one in the middle is 14" across.. it messured 6" x 48" I used bobbles, Wild orchid craft flowers
I also put bling in the centers of the larger ones. The smaller I used buttons in the centers.


The small ones are 5" across

Card for Chelsy

I made this card for Chelsy to sent with the smash box/ junk journal I made for her. I used a Gorjuss stamp on this card, Wild Orchid Craft flowers, cherry blossoms that I made, bling, wheat spray, and I stamped special on it, because she is special..

Altered Round Box

I made a few hanging bobbles today and this cute little box. I panted it dark pink and I used my new Glitz paper Pretty in Pink. Wild Orchid craft roses, my handmade cherry blossoms, acrylic pieces, pearl embellishments. beautiful ribbon trim and bling. I love how it came out, I also used pearl beads for legs on it.

My first Smash/Junk Journal

I made this smash/Junk journal for my son Bradley's girl friend and my favorite girl Chelsy. It's not for her birthday or actually for any reason at all just cuz I love the girl and she takes good care of my son. I'm not sure what to call it but I hope she likes it, there are many pocket pages for her to keep goodies in it, tons of journaling spots and pages to put pictures on it. The cover is covered in flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to silk and clay. There is bling on it and a cameo also. Hope she likes it...

Thank You Card

This is a thank you card that I made today and I have many more to make. If you are one of my wonderful friends that have sent me anything like a tag, rak or card this might be your card "lol"..


I made this card with the new Glitz paper Pretty in Pink and I adore this paper pack. I use some mesh bling, pearl bling, handmade cherry blossoms,  Wild Orchid Craft flowers and a Gorjuss stamps. I love how this card came out. I'll post more tomorrow. I think I have about ten thank you cards to make right now, maybe more lol...

Altered Mason Jar Lids..

If you seen my Youtube video I altered some mason jar lids to keep my bobbles, trims, and bling in. These are some pictures of those jars. I hope you like them and I hope I can inpire someone to make their own. I adore mine and every time I walk by my shelf I just have to look at them. I used Wild Orchid Crafts roses, recollection bling, lace and trims and love them all.

Birthday Card

Today it snowed pretty much all day so what better way to spend my day then sit in the warm house and craft. I made a new card, I've been trying to change my cards up alittle so I like the way it turned out.


I love using flowers in my cards and I usually use Wild Orchid Crafts.

But on this card I used some flat flowers that I sprayed with my glimmer mist in purple and pink. I also used a flower trim which I put bling in the centers. In the center of the big flowers are two blingy flower centers.

The inside is pretty plain it has a saying and a strip across the bottom.

New card and some stick pins

My Altered Shelf..

The other day Steve bought me this little shelf for $2 it was used and alittle abused. Well I started by picking out the paper I wanted on this project and of course I had to pick purple, since it is my favorite color. Then I grabbed my Mod Podge and started coving the shelves in it and put down my paper..I used Wild Orchid Craft flowers on the top along with a croched flower. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to make the butterlfies. Also some ribbon to decorate it.

This is the top of the shelf just came out beautiful.


Love the wild orchid craft flowers along with the butterflies.




Love my shelf I put marbles on the bottom as feet so if I put it on the floor it will slide easily if I end up having to move it closer to my desk. Or it can sit on a shelf or table it's small enough to do that.

Altered Project

This week I took a old floppy disc case and I altered it. This is what the old case looked like.


That is what I came up with and I am loving it. I'm going to use it for all my blank tags. That way I always know exactly where they are and that they are in a beautiful container that I created.

My First Layout..

I finally did my very first layout and I dedicted it to my parents who were the most in love couple I'd ever known in my life time. They were married on March 12th, 1955 and were just as in love the day they passed. My mom passed away January 19th, 1996 and my dad passed on March 23rd, 1997. So this layout is dedicated to them.


This is the layout and the picture on the left is their wedding picture and my dad can't take his eyes off my mom. The picture to the right is on their 25th Anniversary. I did have a picture on their 40th but I could not find it. They were together until the day my mom passed. As a teenager I use to laugh at them. I'd be sitting on the sofa watching tv and my mom would walk by my dad as he sat at the table reading his paper and he'd smack her on the butt, she'd turn around and say "Russell". As if to warn him that I was right there.  Made me giggle, I loved how they loved each other.

This is the poem I put on the layout. When I first read it I thought of them. Not because its writen for parents but because it reminded me of my parents. They gave me guidance and they were great parents. I hope you all like my layout.

Two New Cards.

I also made this card for her just for the fun of it. This is the first time I've used a bird and cage die, I got these from Lilly when I won her giveaway.

A few things for a friend..

These are a few things I made for a good friend of mine. First of all I made her a card and I really hope she likes it. I also made her a altered cigar box and a chunky charm to go in the box.


This is the card I made for her, I used a greeting farm stamp, roses, leaf, ribbon, fibers and bling to pull it all together.

Welcome Sign

I made this welcome sign for our front door, I didn't want it to girlie since Steve has to look at it everyday also. I made all the paper rosettes by hand. I love the way it turned out, I put a button or trinket in the center of the rosettes and letters in the bigger rosettes. I also put fibers on the bottom and the hanger is out of the same fibers. Hope you all like it.

Brighten Up Your Room...

I remember years ago I use to cover my light switch covers in either fabric or contact paper. Boy have I come along way since those days. Now I cover them in gorgeous papers, mod podge, beautiful flowers, bling and a stick pin. These are two of the covers I've made in the past few weeks. I had so much fun making them I really hope you all like them. I showed them in a video on youtube but I don't think my camera really shows just how gorgeous they really are. I really hope you like them.







I love making these and they look wonderful on the wall. The top one is in my craft room on the wall and it inspires me everytime I turn the light on. I hope you all enjoyed seeing this project. Thanks so much for following my blog and I promise I'm done neglecting it.

2012

Hi guys happy 2012 I know I'm a bit late lol but at least I'm here now. My new years resolution is to stop neglecting my blog. I spend so much time in youtube now days I have really neglected my blog. However I am now going to set aside a hour a night just to come into my blog and chat or put in pictures of my projects I do during the day. I'm always making something either cards, tags or flowers. Tomorrow I will come in I have a lot of projects I've done for Christmas and after that I have not put in here yet. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a incredible New Year.. I had a great Christmas at least we got to see my sons and my grand babies this year. Steve spoiled our grand daughters but I guess that is what we are here for. I can't wait until next year because the girls will be older and they can make out a wish list. I might regret that sentence lol. Well have a great night guys talk to you tomorrow.
